Vibrant, intriguing, and dramatic: on February 6th, 2026, Epinikion releases their powerful second album The Force of Nature independently, delivering it with full force. Through carefully crafted musical landscapes, backed by thunderous guitar riffs and the impressive voice of vocalist Kimberley Jongen, the audience is drawn into a compelling musical narrative – an immersive saga about recognizable human emotions, inseparably connected to nature. With production by Jacob Hansen and artwork by Giannis Nakos of Remedy Art Design, the album’s visuals and sound have been shaped with genius by true masters of their craft.
After transitioning from a project to a full band in 2023, Epinikion formed a tight-knit team with excellent chemistry. The diverse backgrounds of the musicians not only broadened the music but elevated it to a higher level through strong collaboration. The twelve songs on the album stem from the life experiences of songwriter Renate de Boer, who, with her background in psychology, weaves insights into human nature and personal choices into the music of Epinikion.
The single “The Force of Nature” centers on determination to leave behind a painful and restrictive past, explains Renate de Boer, Epinikion’s songwriter. “We are allowed to make our own choices and be authentic in the here and now. The song portrays someone who can be described as a ‘force of nature’: a strong personality with great persuasive power. Life is taken back into one’s own hands and given a positive turn — just like the band Epinikion, which has begun a new, positive chapter and is embracing its own identity.”
Epinikion is ready to take the stage by storm with their energetic album The Force of Nature, an emotional statement full of power and perseverance. The music reflects human nature as an elemental force of nature itself. The title track and first single of “The Force of Nature” is available on all streaming platforms, accompanied by an official videoclip: https://youtu.be/2_kPfXj824Y.
